Activities at Venjan Camping

Fishing in Venjan

Venjan provides fishing for all tastes! The northern Venjan’s fish conservation area is approximately 470 square kilometers large and contains many different bodies of waters. Naturally there is the lake, but there are also plenty of smaller ponds as well as natural rivers and streams. On the right hand side you can see a list of the different types of species you can expect to find.

Fishing permits are sold in the campsite and in the local store.

The Swimming Area

Our swimming area features three long docks, is adjacent to the campsite and very easily accessible. The area features a child friendly beach that is both long and shallow with a sandy bottom. Our swimming area also features an area with grills for barbecuing, along with tables and benches. A perfect place to picnic and enjoy lunch.

Cycling & hiking in Venjan

Lake Venjansjön is surrounded by some very appealing nature. There are well marked and cleared biking and hiking trails that take you simply must experience. For cycling, we recommend a tour developed during the summer of 2012 by a group of German tourists. The tour is marked with blue and white signs and we have maps available to borrow at the front desk of the reception. Most of the trail is okay with regular bicycles. However the optional far loop is probably best with a mountain bike.
